That Norm book is good.
I enjoyed "The Goal" by Goldratt, but some might not be into that kind of thing.
I bet Jim Blodgett could write a good book.

"I bet Jim Blodgett could write a good book."
I think there are several here that could.
What subject matter would you be reffering to about Jim? What made you say that ?
The reason your post interrests me is because Ive read several books like most of us have and Ive entertained the idea myself after remembering the dated reading of some books that were of interrest to me in my business. Ive also thought about Dan T and I co-authoring a rental investment book. I dont know if we have any authors here . BTW, I havent told Dan , lol.

Bluegill mentioned Norm's house building book and I thought that JB would be a great writer for a book like that.Nothing really exciting about the book, just a good story teller spinning about his experience building a house. For those who are interested in homebuilding it's a nice, comfortable read.Maybe this reminded me of Norm's book

Did JB ever do a book like that? I looked in his website and sure it is a good story about that old house.

hahahahahahahaha
On second thought, you might be right. When I was about 25 I was working in real nice houses with an older carpenter, maybe 60. This guy was really professional. Had been a house carpenter all his working life, liked it, wasn't soured like a lot of old timers get, but he had a little sarcastic wit about him.
So one day we're working shoulder to shoulder and discussing why we're doing it his way and he says something that's perfectly reasonable that I hadn't considered and I say "I didn't know that.".
He turns to me and says, in a kind voice, "Jim, what you don't know would fill a very thick book, with very fine print".
He was right. The older I get, the more I recognise how right he was (is).
jim, is there anything wrong with that link jon posted for your site? can't get it to work.............but then again, i'm just a dumb carpenter.

I'm guessing Luka has at least that part of the site down, BC. He's doing some work on that page for me. I tried that link just now and couldn't get there either. Got there fine a couple nights ago from that link.
