And one built mine.
I decided to repaint the master bedroom, so while I’m at it, add a ceiling fan. There is a triple LVL with the second floor joists hangered to it… Well it seems someone took the hanging aspect alittle to far. Not one of the joists are nailed through the hangers and the LVL which the hangers are nailed to, isn’t spiked together. I was wondering why I had a hump in the upstair bedroom floor but living in denile… had it’s advantages till now.
Never underestimate why a little job…. a coat of paint and fan install Will cost you 5 times as much as expected and take 10 times longer.
Why me?

My guess would be that the bump :-) in the bedroom floor is due to to the difference in lumber shrinkage between the LVLs and the joists, and not necessarily due to incomplete fastening.
