I just bought the new Imac. I’m using it as a real expensive cd player right now until I can figure out what software to get to help me run my remodeling/repair business. Is the new 2007 Mac Quickbooks comparable to PC based QBs? Anyother worthwhile software out there?

Lots of Mac users. Search out Jerrald Hayes for the software to run such a business. He's more up on that than most. I use it for design, so my business uses aren't yours.
Holy hammer, as for figuring out what Mac software to get to help you run your remodeling/repair business the answer is that all depends. It depends o just what you are doing and what you want to accomplish using software.
As for "Is the new 2007 Mac Quickbooks comparable to PC based QBs?" well they get closer and closer with each new build but they still aren't exactly the same thing. In my businesses we use Quick Books ($199.95) in one of them and MYOB Account Edge ($299.00) in the other and my own personal opinion is I like MYOB Account Edge a lot better (or should I say I like QB a lot less???). In addition to Account Edge MYOB also offers First Edge ($99.00) which in many case is all most small contractors need to get started with and you can always upgrade to Account Edge later on for $199.
And then again if you already own QB for the PC and want to stay with it you can always get something like VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop and then pick and purchase a flavor of Windows OS to run and use your old license of QB and any other Windows programs you already own. See Apple - Get a Mac - Run Windows.

Jerrald,
Thanks for all the info. You are a wealth of information. I will take your advice and look into MYOB.
Many thanks,

I've used MYOB for 15 years. There's nothing better IMO. Good luck!
