Any one own or have used a multi-max?
Has any one used the new Multi-max by dremal? I understand its a copy of the Fein mm (and yes I read the previous post on it). Im looking more for feedback on the Dremal or Bosch version. So if any one has Experiance with these two newer osillating tools please speak up and help me decide who gets my money, other than my wife 😉 that is.

Seems fine ( no pun) so far, I've trimmed a few shims and thats all. Looks like I could make the blades work with my old Fein, they are a "C" cut out with pins, so a washer would allow them to bolt on the fein, but for shure, not the other way around..Feins wont fit the Dremel, those pins are thier big difference.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I will look at the multi-max. The only thing I will likely use it for is cutting baseboard to fit new stair skirts.
I'm sure that will change once I get ahold of one.
Make sure you get the roundy blade when you get it, it is not included in the kit.
Can't go wrong for the price is what I am thinking now that I have it. It isn't tooless blade change, but niether is my old Fein.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

The familiar shaped ( circular) wood/drywall blade is 9.99 IIRC. I used it a bit today..not as good cutting as the $$$ Fein blades , but I really didn't put it to a hard test.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Thanks to everyone for there input. I guess I will drop the c-note and check it out.
I have a Fein MM, the old style model 636 with the regular round arbor.
Today I took a look at the Dremel Multi-Max at Lowes. Yes, made by the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, $99 for the kit which has some blades and sanding pads/sheets. The only blades they had for sale separately was a 3" round segment blade for wood/drywall, flat- so no flush-cut indent. Made in China. For $9.99 seemed reasonable so I picked one up. Thin just as the Fein version, though felt a tad flimsier- probably because this blade has a cutout to the arbor hole at the short side, and it has a series of rectangular punchouts around the arbor hole which I believe is for the "Quick Fit" blade change feature. Back of the package says it will fit the Fein Multi-Master 636 and the Bosch Multi-X PS50.
This tool is a lot lighter than the Fein and to my reckoning more fragile with plastic bits around the mounting area and more plastic in general. It does seem to have much better ergonomics/hand comfort.
No pics of the blades on the web yet, but here's the tool:

Oh, yeah. I thought it interesting that we now will have (at least) FOUR MM clones:-Dremel Multi-Max-Bosch Multi-X PS50 (Litheon cordless)-Rockwell SoniCrafter-Horrible Fright Multifunction Power Tool (made by Chicago Electric so its gotta be good)And I'm guessin' that Bosch will have their corded version ashore in the not too distant future. The Bosch PS50 I'll be buying to go with the rest of these itty bitty Bosch batteries.

I bought one Friday night and used it for a few things that I've been working on - cutting some wood flush with a cabinet, and I tried the scraper attachment to get some vinyl flooring off the floor - that was O.K. - took longer than I expected, and quit because I wasn't in the mood. The flush cutting worked great, and it cut through some drywall pretty handily. It seemed to work better if you didn't force it - just let it do the work for you. I haven't tried the sanding attachment yet - haven't needed to. Someone said to buy the round attachment when you buy it - Lowe's didn't have it when I went back Saturday to see about getting one (I had to return a bad light bulb anyway) - the tool guy said he didn't know when they were coming in. At least they had the tool - I was in Home Depot for a minute last night and they didn't even have the tool let alone the attachments yet. All in all I like the tool - I've been waiting for it to come out since I heard about it on here. I certainly am not in a position to buy the Multi-Master. When did Bosch buy Dremel?
Ah, thanks. There it is............now just have to find it as a bare tool.View Image
OK, since I'm on a silly roll, here's the corded Bosch PMF 180E Multi:
