I’m in the process of doing a material take off on a house on which I plan to using fiber cement siding. I’ve read all the threads on trim that I could find and have found no real concensus. I’ve read about stacking 7/16″ Hardietrim,G.P. Prime Trim, Trex, cedar, vinyl corners, etc. Cemtrim has been mentioned also. It’s available in 7/8″ widths. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff and do you think it is compatible with my severe northeast climate? Hardieplank makes thicker planks for corners etc., but according to the rep. I spoke with they aren’t comfortable with it in the colder climates. He says they’re working on it…
