***Anyone have a Bosch 5 pt laser***
I already orderd one but when checking around on it, didnt really find any reviews or opinions. I guess if its no good I could return it. We used to have a pls 3 and I used that sucker a whole lot, made a lot of things easier. Was looking for opinions on this one. I orderd it already because Ive got something comming up next week where it would help a lot so I pulled the trigger.

It will probably be ok, I don't have any persoanl experience with that one. i looked at it and said gee that looks alot like the robotoolz brand lazer and sure enough, a yahoo search proved me right.

Bosch service will probably be better.

I have the old RoboToolz version and like it. the vertical dot is good for the "inverted plumb bob" where you need to spot a point on the ceiling from a known point on the floor, like for light fixtures. the side dots are good for leveling ceinings, not as good as a continuous spinning laser, but I just spot the corners and connect with a chalk line, or just move the dot around..Hope this helps. I dont mind rotating the laser and connecting the dots, because you also get the plum dots feature and its a compact package. In a perfect world I would have a nice rotating laser with the pick up sensor and all but in the my world this one should fill my needs in a price range I can kind of afford. Sometimes its a pain finding the dot and getting it where you want it but we'll have to deal with it.
Well look at that, I have never seen robotoolz brand anywhere I've been. I have quite a bit of bosch stuff and feel good about their quality. Everybody has weak spots though, hopefully this isn't one of them.
When doing a search for reviews of the bosch I found pretty much nothing, if I had know about the robotoolz part of it I could've found lots of info on that it does look like its pretty much the same thing.
I have alsways been kind of lucky at spotting tools "wearing" other clothes. Whether it was Craftsman built by bosch or skill or bostitch i get lucky with that.Webby
