I have a 3 yr old samsung rs267labp and the unit stopped working yesterday. I unplugged it as the troublshooting says and nothing. I then called samsumg and they said that I must wait 3-4 hours for it to cool down and then the blower fans would start working. They told me the online troubleshooting was incorrect and I never should have unplugged it
8 hours later, nothing
I can hear the compressor running, but no fan that blowers the cold air into the the refer and freezer
Anybody care to chime in???
thanks, Brian

We took our outside and I use a power washer on it (inside). I think ours quit working because dog hair had gotten onto the the coils under the unit. So when the fan blew onto the coil, no air passed thru. Think I carefully used the pw on the coil.
that worked
Neighbor had the same problem but milk had dripped onto the cooling coil and froze........its been a while but something like that.
those are my only two stories........
Go Cubbies..........
Have had similar in 2 different cases.
In one the plastic balde on the small axial fan cracked and a piece wedged the fan - presto, no fan 'running'
In another, due to very unusually himid weather, and the fridge door being left slightly ajar, ice buildup in the freezer section jammed the fan.
2-3 hours (maybe even 8 hrs with all the frozen food in place) with the fridge closed an ice jam would not melt. I had take an interior back panel off and defrost locally with a heat gun.
Then when it iced up again ina few days, discovered that the timer (this one still had a clock motor timer, no idea what the samsung has) for defrost was broken so there never was a defrost cycle.
Good luck.

Also U know Murphy's Law.
The Fridge always breaks just after the wife buys the week's groceries.......
make sure that your not catching this during a defrost cycle. it's easy to think thats it's not working when it actually is in a heating mode to defrost itself.
other than that, time to go shopping..................................
the older i get ,
the more people tick me off
