I’ve been asked to price for supply and install of 3″ Kingspan insulted roof panels for a new winery project. I’m a GC/carpentry business primarily and I’m really looking to get the interior finish and exterior siding/soffitt contratcs on this building, but the project manager asked me for pricing on the roof first. The roof is simple shed style and all in a single plane, 11,900 sq ft on an 8 degree slope – 1.7:12. The panels are to be installed over a structural steel frame with purlins at 4-5 foot spans. Total roof run length is 70 ft for half, 56 ft for the remainder, so the panels will require end laps.
I’ve worked with SIPs on several projects and understand that these panels are a finished product and therefore more time consuming to handle and install. I’d like to compare notes with anyone who has experience pricing and/or installing this system. Especially looking for labour and crane hours per sq ft.
Thanks in advance,
Sly
