After much debate between lithium ion kits by Milwaukee or makita, I thought long and hard about it and came to the conclusion that I already have a good cordless set of tools(14.4v NIMH Makita). I really don’t need another, then I saw the V-28 Cordless angle drill. Seems like a great tool to have, being the bulk of my work is elctrical and plumbing.

I'd call Makita and see if they can clue you in whether they're planning one.
It'd be the Makita system I'd buy into as it really seems like they are committed to expanding the platform.
Plus - WAY too many bad stories about bad Milwaukee service/warranty issues that I'd not commit to a large system of their tools right now.
Considering the extra torque the angle drills bring to the party, it would seem they'd do the job with ease in most cases.
