Orient NY… I have a lead for a pergola… worth about $15K. This stuff is like furniture for the out of doors, so not a rookie project. I have full plans for the project if you need. If you can work from the photo–that is up to you. (I am not seeking a commission… just want the client to be happy. Botch the job and you will not get any more…do well and we will pass any other local leads to you along).
This is cool stuff, and may end up being an interesting sideline for whoever wants to deal with it.
I will only give the lead to 2 contractors. Obviously you need all the basic tools and some experience. This is an ongoing thing. When we don’t have an “Associated Contractor” in the area I will pass the lead along to a contractor I know to have skill and experience.
Write me at [email protected] for more info.
Here is the project the client wants…

Hey Guys... I still have a few leads that need homes, so I'll filter them down to areas and post them within a day or so. So long as you have a couple of references or a website where I can see you work I'll pass them on... same as ever!
As far as I know that job was done months ago-but there are plenty of people looking for them to be done. Florida is this month's most required labor market.
Be well folks...
Lawrence (stranges thing... I logged in and they gave me my old nic back!)

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Ahhhh sweet skepticism.
Clients call me to do work that I cannot possibly get done profitably... so, I share with the folks who helped teach me the trade.
Really, I guess good will is my cut. They learn a little about my business and maybe someday we do more work together and maybe I will get a cut. But these.... these are freebees. Enjoy all.
Pleased to make your aquaintence IMERC.

BTW check this post... I posted a few more...

Thanks for the reference P.
Why? Because woodwork is a tough business and all of us need all the breaks we can get. I've chopped one finger in half... another off and had nerves reattaching and demerol.. shot myself nearly 25 times and broken numerous bones...
We win on one... lose on the next two and that's contracting. Sort of like a gambling habit we just can't quit, but in the end we love to create.
Giving the job (and helping him price it) puts money in the pocket of someone who works hard for every dime to support his family... and some of us have 5 kids or more.
Because of the 90 year old guys that taught me how to chink log homes and make it last 40 years... because of the 60 year old restaurantour who taught me the basics of business... and all the clients who invested faith in my abilities even when I looked to be less than 16 years old...
That's why I share.
Things come back... but that's not why you do it... you do it because it's right.
When things are going well... you share.
Best, L
yur word is good enough fer me Pif...

I'd have been more than happy to but currently too busy on a 1680 house in cold Spring Harbor, LI.
My shop should be set up here in about six months so if you come accross anything interesting down the line give me a shout at 631 659-3007.
