I am planning on applying a natural cast stone to the exterior of a house. Part of the preparation is to apply a scratch coat using a mixture of N-type cement, sand, and water. The stones are applied to the scratch coat using the same mixture by buttering the backside and placing on house. The question I have is what the minimum outside temperature can be to still use this type of mixture? The temperature have been 32 degrees or lower for the past month. Should I wait until spring or doesn’t matter? Thanks

I would wait.
Unless you tent the and heat the area and heat the stones before installing.

I agree with Tim, and also add that there's an interesting article on cultured stone exteriors in the current Journal of Light Construction. It's by an inspector who investigates wall failures and water damage where cultured stone is involved. Probably worth getting a copy if you're about to use some...
I'll second David's recommendation that you get a copy of that JLC article and read it thoroughly.
