Your requirements unfortunately eliminate about 95% of the work force , good luck on your search .
thats about how many i intended to cull out, I left off a couple of other things to try to be pc.john
With the pictures you have put up of your work it would be a great job opportunity for anyone. If I lived near you I would be all over your offer. The groins and vaults you build are amazing.
Good luck, I'll be jealous of who gets the job.

Thank you;we are doing ceilings on a pretty regular basis now, but we still do a lot of other work to fill in, cabinets, tile, trim, painting door and window replacements, etc so it will be a good opportunity for a young man to learn aspects of many different trades. I have been useing all college boys for a few years, and still do, but i need a full time man that wants to learn the crafts.
A broad scope of work is great way for an apprentice to learn.
What he lets go at the framing stages will come and haunt him in the finsih phases. The best way to learn is to make mistakes and learn from them.
Good luck with your search. I'll stop clogging up your thread now.

If those are the qualities you are looking for in an apprentice a man with those attributes is readily available; just pay a substantial wage and benefit package as in a union and your problems are solved.
bb ,
It's just that you left out some traits that some of us would look for .
Able to work with your hands well , a quick learner , artistic and manually talented , a desire to learn is always helpful as well as a team player and ability to get along well with others and needing a minimum of supervision as well a a being a good communicator .
Maybe you don't need someone who actually has a mind of their own , that could lead to an independent thinker . I'm guessing religious affiliation was one of the items you left out .
Maybe you could try a Convent or a Monkery or such to narrow your search
regards
Dusty;
I have been in the trades with employees for over 30 years, I have a pretty good idea of what type works for me, Good morals are a must, I dont want to take a thief in a customers home,I don't want a guy hitting on a customers wife or kids, I expect good language and respect, I have already figured out the type of worker That I need. I dont hire women to do a mans work. Faith is not an issue if the other traits are there, i have had many non christians work for me in the past. I dont need an artist, we don't do any work that involves art.
