I’ve got to build a couple of arched passages in a house. No doors will be installed in these entryways. I’m wondering what will be the best way to frame it, presumable out of plywood.

Thanks for getting back to me. The walls are 2x6 non-bearing. The openings will vary in width, from 30" to 96". I figuring on construction techniques being the same, simply with different radii on the arch. Ceiling height is ~8ft in all cases. The opening will have vertical sides, breaking at 1 ft from the peak of the arch on most openings; in another part of the house the break is 8" from the peak of the arch. Thanks for your help, let me know if you need anything else. John

there are many ways to build a curved arch .
First , the spring should be the same in all the openings. This will change the curvature in each opening of various widths.
To do this install the drywall and trace the curve. Cut along your lines and the screwa drywall angle inside the sheetrock. Soak sheetrock with water to help flex the board and scew up under the arch. Then install a flexible corner bead and finsh as you would any other corner bead
