Hi,

I have to replace the boiler in my house – natural gas fed boiler that produces steam.  Toying with the idea of going with a tankless system that vents out the side of house (will gain approx 15 sq ft in a small kitchen by removing chimney).

My plumber tells me the fans can be loud on these types of boilers/furnaces. Also heard they are expensive to maintain.

Anyone have experience with these and recommendations?  Thanks, Joe.
