I am planing to upgrade my compressor and nailers soon, like next tues.. I am looking at a Thomas compressor 150ST, and two Senco guns, FP600, and SFN40. I know the guns are good. Regarding the compressor. The 200ST is $100 more than the 150ST. Do I need the extra weight or would the 150ST be enough. I am working alone doing trim work and residential framing. I need a compressor to withstand work all day everyday, not trip breakers, and provide plenty of air almost nonstop. I want to concentrate on my work, not the compressor.

I only know of the thomas st2820....and the 150.
I have the st2820......which is the twin stack.....2 head deal.......and from what I learned when shopping.......it's a little more powerful....ie...quicker on the recoup........but way quieter ..than the 150.......which I've heard..and it is fairly loud.
I like the 2820.......as I like the quieter comp when framing......but really like it when inside a customers almost finished homes......usually occupied.......and having one of the least obnoxious compressors while running trim....just seems to make everyone's day go better.
Not sure of the model you mention. Jeff

The 200st is also called the Renegade. I think it it the better of the two that I'm looking at but I'll consider the 2820.
Thanks for the help.
I just bought the 200st, I wanted the 150 st but it was replaced by the 200 and I couldn't find a 150 anywhere. For some reason the new improved 200 doesn't have as much pressure and the recovery time is longer than the 150, but the 200 has a higher kick in pressure setting.
I think I paid something like $350 for the 200, (which was more or less the same price as the 150), so if you can save $100 I think you would be very happy with the 150. I raced the 200 against my 1 1/2 hp Emglo and it cleaned the Emglo's clock.
If you need "air almost nonstop" then take a close look at the one Jeff has. Your dealer should have the specs. The negatives are it weighs more, more parts to break/replace (dual pumps), more money.
