I need any and all ideas to make this work. May sound like a nightmare to some, but I know it can be done effectively.
thanks

They did tell you. You Install the ledger and the flashing before the stucco not after.
*George,Wrong thread. That was Jim asking about the waterproofing a deck on stucco.Derek had a whole nother question.James Duhamel
*Derek,I am not mad at ya, but I have never dealt with a problem like that. Sorry I can't offer some info, but it would not help ya out if I did. I would be guessing at best.James DuHamel
*Derek,No one's mad at you - it's a difficult situation with few workable solutions. There aren't many alternatives. Your slab pour and finish is going to have to be perfect to get the right drainage, AND WE ALL KNOW HOW MANY SLABS GET POURED PERFECTLY - not many unless the finishers are doing it for themselves. Shoot, I've looked at 3 houses this past week on Lake Granbury where the concrete was poured and funneled the rain water right into the front doors. The "remedies" were "fugly" directional dams - like speed bumps - and ineffective, after-the-fact landscaping which stood out like a sore thumb.Good luck,Cliff.
*I wanted to know about waterproofing a deck for a carport and noone touched that either.
*Where is the original question?
*My feelings exactly. What are we not talking about?Gabe
*I will post mine again as I dont want to bother this post.
