Any arrow stapler technicians out there?Ive got two chrome Arrow Staplers that both shoot the staples out sideways(points not perpindicular to the material).Looked at tips on other ones and the look the same.??!! Would like to find a good reliable stapler(not a slammer) .Tried to reverse handle Black and Decker but it got jammed and when we took it it aprt it exploded into 50 pcs.
Whats a fellar to do.

I've got two I've had for eternity. Not much regular use lately. When I do pull it out I spray some Zep (wd 40 like) into the nose. If I don't, likely to not shoot the staple. You could disassemble it, to my memory about all you have to worry about is losing the small cotter pins.

Just a thought here. I've used Arrow Staplers forever it seems and never had a problem. (Well there was that one I left in the rain for a week) :)
Check the staples you have on hand. For normal use the should be "chisel edged". that is each staple has an edge straight across the end of each leg.
If the staples have an angle going opposite on each leg then you have gotten hold of some "ceiltile" staples. They are designed to have the legs go in opposite directions. They were originally made for installing staple up acoustic ceiling tile and the angle is to help them hold tighter.
