Ainsley,
Oh, you've got asbestos siding to remove. The important thing to do is to tell ALL the authorities that you can possibly think of. You really need a whole bunch of regulatory types 'helping' you out.

*This is still a strange subject in Wisconsin. A homeowner may remove asbestos siding from his/her own residence with no rules attached. It doesn't require more than simple bagging for Waste Management to pick it up afterward. A siding contractor, however, must follow all of the strict asbestos abatement rules to do the same thing. Incredibly stupid. There's a movement now to find some sensible middle ground for siding contractors.
*The difference I believe is due to the occupation. As an occupation, the contarctor will be exposed on a near daily basis for the duration of his career. The homeowner will do this once or twice in a lifetime, minimal exposure.-Rob
