Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

Senco.
There's a review of several major brands in the February 2002 issue of Journal of Light Construction.

John, I don't know if Hitachi is available in Canada, but I recommend buying it on E-bay if you can't get it. I've nailed about 30,000 sq. without replacing a single part. I've since spent about $25 to replace the coil tray and all the springs. It's light, very durable and reliable. There are days my compressor doesn't want to get out of bed but the gun fires at the first shot of air day in day out. The Hitachi is not the cheapest on the block but you get what you pay for.
John,
There was a thread on this not long ago. You might want to check it out.

1/2 my business in New Hampshire is roofing.Bought a Senco back in '95 because they threw in a case of nails.Absolutely bulletproof!I soak the nose in thinner after every job to get the tar off then oil everything.I can count the misfires on one hand since I got it. I reckon you can't go wrong.Good Luck.
