Anybody know a fair price per square to charge for labor to strip and reshingle a asphalt shingle roof?

800 Euros.
Seriously, it's gonna vary greatly due to local, roof pitch, type of shingle, accessability, landscaping, etc.

point taken! walkable roof pitch may be a 6/12 pitch or a little less 30 yr arch shingles pretty easy access probably will strip right in to the dump trailer.this roof is bigger than I have bid on in the past 70 square I dont want to get in over my head.
I pay $60-$75 off and dried in and $60-$75 to shingle back to insured subs. I supply all materials and disposal. But I'm in KY.http://www.quittintime.com/ View Image
what is the going labor rate in KY? Here in NY/Mass most insured contractors get 40 per hour or more!
Going rate for what?http://www.quittintime.com/ View Image
per hour labor rate.
Yeah - I got that. For doing what? Carpenter's helper? Plumber?
Depends on the skill level. Some get $40/hr from me, some get less. I mostly pay be the unit unless it's repair type work. http://www.quittintime.com/ View Image
"Yeah - I got that."LOL, easy boy.
The confusing part is where you started out asking for piecework prices, then switched to hourly, I think.

I was trying to compare a per square cost to a hourly rate cost to determine how manysquare would have be stripped and covered per day.
Still that's the wrong way of looking at it.you have done a few roofs, so you know how fast your production rate is, right? So you figure your hourly rate to production rate, and you know what you need to charge.Going by what anyone else charges is letting your competition set your rate for you.And going by the rate a pro doing it every day could be a way to lose money too, because he is naturally going to be faster and more efficient than you doing it occasionally.
