I’m just testing the waters now to see if any BT’ers in the Atlanta area would have an upcoming need for a competent remodeling lead man. I’m currently south of the metro area but am planning on moving near Lithia Springs in the next month or two with my girlfriend. Right now I’m building decks with a guy who’s pay scale is stuck somewhere in the 70’s. I’m accomplished in everything except HVAC and have plenty of design to build experience in structures from the 1800’s to new. I’m definitely hands on and wishing to stay as such. Aside from solid construction skills, I am good with people from the laborer to the client to the inspectors. I have excellent problem solving skills and can think on my feet so if any of you desire a motivated and skilled remodeler, let’s talk… Thanks, Jerry.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

Boy, if you're getting paid in the 70's to build decks, I want your job.
:)
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.

I used to work for Moon Brothers in Atlanta. I don't know if they need help, but it is a great company to work for.
What did you do and what was the payscale with them? I'm still not familiar with the wage scale here. Oregon I know. Here I'm still (no pun or slam intended here) in the dark.
Another bump... FHB must be an anomaly in the south...
