I’m planning to build my own deck. The goal is to keep it very low to the ground so that it can be under 30″ and have no railings. To do this I’ll need to attach the ledger to the poured concrete foundation wall. The county permit office said I should be using epoxy bolts. I assume this means drilling a hole and inserting a threaded rod? However, I can’t find specific requirements around the depth of the hole, the diameter of the threaded rod, or the number/positioning of the holes on the ledger. Would it be a different fastening configuration as compared to attaching the ledger to the framing of the house?
Does anyone know where I can find this information?

The Spacing should be the same as with wood, the spacing/ quantity dependent on how long the joists are.
I recommend 1/2" x 5" galvanized expansion anchors. The 1/2" inch diameter expansion anchor is prescriptive but I have not found an official length.
