Attaching Kleer PVC historic sill – cortex or nails?
Hi – first time working with the Kleer PVC historic sill on a new window on my house. Using the preassembled method (glue & pocket hole screws to the rest of the casing). Just wondering, how have you attached the sill to the sheathing? Have you used Cortex screws or did you just use stainless finish nails? The sill seems a bit thick for Cortex (I’ve only used those on 5/4 stock). Anyone have any experience they can share?
Thanks, Rob

2 3/4" Cortex screws
Maybe you guys could answer a question on the Kleer Historic Sill, as Kleer hasn't responded? Can you tell me the width of the top surface - the horizontal section that fits under the window frame (not including the slanted section)? Also the height of the back portion that contacts the wall. Then the depth of the surface that touches the wall to where the lower overhang starts. The published Kleer cross-section only shows the overall dimensions. Thanks!
