I’m repainting the living room ceiling and i was thinking of using BM’s Aura paint after talking with a friend who used it in his house.although it is more expensive he said it covered in one coat. can anyone recommend another one coat ceiling paint? i also have to fix a few hairline cracks which i will prime. Is it necessary to prime the whole ceiling before priming, if so what is a good primer? thanks.

If you're painting the ceiling white, then Aura is overkill. It's great at one-coat coverage in darker colors and it's very washable, but these are not really features you need in a flat white ceiling.
I use Benjamin Moore's Muresco ceiling paint. Most of the time I can get good coverage with 1 coat, but sometimes I'll need 2.
You should prime any areas that you repair, but it's not necessary to prime the entire ceiling. It can't hurt and it may mean 1 less coat of paint, but I would rather do 2 coats of paint than 1 coat of primer and 1 coat of paint.
