There seems to be a lot goin on in Winnipeg, I know ther is lots happing in Brandon. if you are apprentice or journeyman , check out monster or job listings with gov. service web. Show up to a site, ask who's in charge, see if need someone. Lots happinin with this good weather we have been having. Good luck!

hey bud, yeah i thought that there was a lot happening here as well but it seems like it is harder to get a job in the trades if they only know you by your resume. I have gotten work through the JOBBANK but they always turn out to be hsit...the last job i had from there the contractor who posted it had about 5 charges pending in the provincial court just for generalized ripping off of his clients....the last paycheque he gave me was post-dated for two weeks..that seemed awfully close to getting ripped off...but again proving that the best jobs are always word of mouth. I have a regular contractor i normally work with but i am always interested in making more money...thought a home-owner might see my ad. What do you do in Brandon?
I am a carpenter, live 45 min. from there, layed off of my sesonal job as maintance @ prov. park, do contracting also. I was installing / service for overhead door, ladder slipped & now I have brokin wrist, so down for 6 to 8 wks. I had to put off couple small drywall jobs till spring. New shopping center has lots goin on and the HD is lookin for installers , seems to be lots goin on.
