We’re doing a bathroom for a client who wants wainscoting instead of tile. Azek makes beadboard that seems well suited to the job except for the lack of interior trim pieces.
I can mill simple base from plain Azek stock, but, the cap moulding is causing some head scratching. Nothing fancy required.
Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks
Jim

I've routed complex moldings from the stuff, but I really recommend you paint the stuff if you do. It leaves an open pore texture that looks better and doesn't attract as much dirt when painted.
Really, though, whatever you can dream up from wood, you should be able to replicate in Azek. I did a cap rail out of the stuff for a bathroom earlier this spring where the cap was a simple bullnose (I grooved the bottom to hide the irregular top of the beadboard) and then used a cove beneath. Simple, and matched the bed molding as well.
Routing the stuff creates a mess, btw, the static will make the stuff cling to everything. I had to remove my watch, as the sand-grain-like stuff rubbed my skin raw.

zek stock, but another good choice is the WinsorOne line og moldings.
