Has anyone used Azek sheets, or a similar material, as sheathing under a rubber membrane roof (in place of plywood sheathing)? It’s for a small roof area with a deck above it.

I can't see that happening. Azec isn't stff enough to be used as deck sheething.

Yeah, Azek wouldn't be any good in that application. What is it you're trying to accomplish?
Thanks for the replies - I thought is might be a longer-lasting sheathing material if water did find it's way under the membrane, but I wasn't sure if it was such a good idea. I guess plywood is the answer.

I spoke to an Azek rep who concurred that the product is not suitable as a substitute for roof sheathing.....Advantech seems like a better prospect.
a few months ago somebody with similar reasoning had the kooky idea of using PT plywood under his roof membrane "in case it leaked"what you need to do is install the right roofing correctly and you won't have that worry.
