Once upon a time, "regulars" posted on these very pages... oft professionals in the Trades, they offered what amounted to advice in the form of opinions. Some brought color, others texture... a certain few, aroma.
Recently howe'er, it's been rumored that these very same people have returned to the Monastery, to Illuminate Scrolls and Bibles. Seems that it was faster and easier to hand-illustrate manuscripts page-by-page, then to wait for the Taunton Server to post a message.
Therefore, should some of you occasional posters, homeowners, and DIYers feel unappreciated... it's not You. We'd like to hop in and post a reply to your question, it's just that we've only so much time left on this Earth.
*You'd think Taunton could at least afford to keep the coal-fed steam-powered servers running at 14.4K!
*They're tryin' to freeze us out, I tell ya! It was all that arguin' about recipes and banter with "cuddly Wolverines" from the CT contingent!
*Actually, it is a conspiracy on the part of Taunton to put all of us out of business. First, set up a excellent board and suck us all in and get us hooked. Second, slow the board down so we spend our time waiting at the computer instead of tending to our business. Third, establish a nationwide chain of Fine Homebuilding Home Improvement businesses to handle the pent up demand.Rich Beckman
