I bought a NewHolland LB75 backhoe last year and it lacks power.I`ve heard they turn down the hydrolics at the factory to keep you from tearing up the machine during warrenty.Does anybody on this site know about this stuff or know another site that does? Bill

To prevent moisture buildup and improve performance, install a continuous air barrier—such as drywall or specialized membranes—under tongue-and-groove boards or other interior wall paneling.

I have JD's.....and never heard of what you speak of...my warning that I am overloaded is that the power steering goes out because of lack of fluid....and it was designed that way.
There's a good diesel engine forum out there...maybe somebody here has it bookmarked...try Googling for it.
“When we build, let us think that we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work as our descendants will thank us for; and let us think...that a time is to come when those (heirlooms) will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, ‘See! This our father did for us.’ “ --John Ruskin.

I don't, but somebody here probably does:

power is only one part of what it takes to make a good back hoe, breakout force is the real key that tells you if the equipment can handle more power.. no use having extra power if it can't be effectively used..
When I sold for Cat and John Deere we never considered New Holland any competition, Case once in awhile if they had some wonderfull factory sponsered finacing to effectively lower the price. Komatsu and occasionally Kobelco but never New Holland. I no longer have my competitive spec book so I can't give you the exact power differances.. I will say that if you risk turning up the injector pump you may find the controls to be very jerky and as we well know that will cause more problems later on..
Are you sure that it's performing at the proper level? Injector timing correct and clean injectors? A dirty aircleaner can really suck power, but I assume that all of that has been checked..

can you shed some light on backhoe/halftrack vehicles that operate entirely on hydraulics ?
the power company subcontractor used one at our house for burying conduit and I was amazed at the size, power and how quiet it was.
even the halftrack is hydraulically operated, so the only thing running is a small diesel engine for the hydraulic pump.
can't remember what the brand was but they told me they are made by most manufacturers.
this one cost around $35,000.
Never heard of your problem and I haven't found an online source yet. I have always had Case backhoes. Is your problem engine power or hydraulic power? If it's hydraulic, it could be a relief valve set too low. I wouldn't exceed factory specs because you might start blowing hoses and etc.
Good luck,
John
