Fingers going numb, huh?
Same thing happened to me. Finally figured that it was being caused by the wife traveling so much.
I had the same concern last year, and swithched from a 22oz Estwing to a 19oz Vaughn Cal framer. The weight is perfect - light, but enough heft; and it cost only $20. Still use the 22oz Estwing for demo. Thinking of buying the same Vaughn, but with smooth face for decking. I've talked to guys who use the titanium hammers and they swear by them. If I were framing 24/7 without my Senco, I'd shell out for the titanium.

Jim Blodgett swears by a compression bandage on the upper arm to help with this.
If you want to help out a good cause and get yourself a #### hammer you can bid on ProDeks hammer here.
