Just looking for the best tool for fastening 1200 sq’ of pre finished bamboo flooring. I had 1 response in the tool post, and just want to know all the options available before purchasing a tool. Splitting the material seems to be an issue. Thanks for your help

What thickness material? I installed some 5/16" material and used a Bostich stapler.
Did you rent the tool? Remember what gauge or length staple? How'd it go?
I borrowed the stapler from the flooring guy that did our carpet installation. It was something similar to the Bostitch SX150-BHF-2, which shoots 18 gauge, 7/32 crown staples. The staples I used for this installation were 1-1/4" long.
Everything went smoothly once we got the pressure dialed in. I did have to shim up the front of the foot on the stapler with a piece of linoleum to keep it from rocking on the tongue of the flooring. So far I've got just over 600 sf of the bamboo installed. A separate project will be the dining/music room, which is about another 300 sf.
What manufacture are you using for the flooring? I was enamored with bamboo when I first saw it several years ago, but it looks like the market is getting flooding with shoddy product. A friend has some installed in his home and it's awful, but most likely it's LL quality. I really like the new VG bamboo, since it looks like a paler VG fir, and is about 1/2 the cost in my area.Z
We got some Yanchi carbonized, strand woven bamboo from http://www.builddirect.com. They don't have the same flooring listed anymore, but they have several others. I was pleased with the quality and it's held up well so far. The only complaint I could make is that I had to toss (or use offcuts from) about 2% of the boards because the finish was boogered up at the tongue.
