Please Help! In a past issue of Fine Homebuilding there was an article about building barn doors, including windows. I do not have that issue and am in dire need of that article as I now have a project related to it. I would appreciate any help in locating that article. Thank you.

Butch,
Was this part of an article about something else ?
I have done a search at Taunton, and I can't find anything about building barn doors.
Do you have any more details to add to the search ?

Luka,I think Scott McBride did an article a few years back where he built some very nice looking doors for his workshop/barn. That may be what the OP is referring to. Right now, I can't find it.
Welcome to BT butchv, that was my dad's nickname for 83 years!
Anyway, the best barn door is a self closer that closes just before the horses leave <G>
That said, irrespective of the specific article, a door with 2x4 fra
me and plywood skins is a good start.
Issue 168, January '05 has the McBride article.
Could someone e-mail that article to me?
Found it!!! Thank you for your effort in replying. Now I can make my barn doors!! Butch V
PS Thanks to everyone who replied!!
Butch,
It looks like bd and ptp have locaed the article.
Do you have access to the article, online, at Taunton's main site ?
