I’m doing a remodel, and I have never done any baseboard work….so my question is, do I replace the carpet first, then install baseboard, or baseboard, then carpet. I’ve seen it both ways now that I’ve been looking. So guys, and girls, which is BEST.

Baseboard first...down the line when you want to remove the carpet, you`ll be glad you did. Prime and paint it ahead of time, but be prepared to do some touch up after carpet is installed.

Base first, then carpet, like Jaybird says. Use little pieces of 7/16 osb for spacers between the floor and the bottom of the base. bob.
Wonder if this is a regional thing? I've never in my life hear of putting baseboard down first, until now.
I'm not tailgating. I'm drafting
Cope your inside corner,s and add a 1/16 or so to your length of
baseboard for a tight fit. Start with the wall opposite the door, then
cope the left & right pieces of baseboard, then do the last pieces by the door.
I am sure this will open a can of worms, but I think you get a tighter fit
than if you 45 your inside corner.
Good luck.
