Any idea what needs to be done here and what the cost might be? This is in the basement of a property I am looking at purchasing *if it is fixable for the right cost.
2 story home. No visible damage to the upstairs at all other that a door sticking a little bit.
The picture is in the basement obviously. Mud all over the floor. Any thoughts are much appreciated.
Thanks.

Can't see much in that picture, but my best interpretation is that soil was piled against a stud wall sheathed with flakeboard. In that case there are probably 100 other things wrong with the house.

Better picture for any kind of opinion worth squat.

Sorry for the lack of and quality of pics. It was a quick walk thru. Utilities are off so there was little light.
About 1/3 of the basement has mud on the floor from this. I'm wondering is this $10,000 worth of repair work? $50k?
It's easy to repair a hole in a block wall and scrape mud off the floor.
But we still don't know how the hole got there in the first place, we don't know if the mud has soaked into areas where disassembly will be required to remove it, we don't know if there is serious rot or mold, we don't know what other defects this place has.
No one can offer any real advice other than to run the other way unless you're getting a REALLY good deal.
The only thing of interest here is the question of how anyone can possibly think they could get good information based on such sketchy data. Good grief. The OP uses a few sentences and two poor photos and expects some sort of realistic repair estimate from an internet forum. What can this individual be thinking?
This house probably falls into the catagory of: If you have to ask, you'd better not get involved.

Basement Cave-in ---yikes!!!
Unless you are independently wealthy or own a basement repair business, Run. Like. Hell. The repairs might involve, in the least, excavating the perimeter of the house, repair or replacement of drain tile, building a new wall. Too many factors to even hazard a guess on costs.
And....
What else is wrong in the house if such strong evidence of shoddy work is present here?
