I am looking for a product used to wrap steel basement columns. It consists of strips of wood fastened to some type of cardboard backing. It can be stained or painted. I believe it is called “Pole Wrap”. I would like to possibly use this as an alternative to boxing with drywall or wood as my customer doesn’t like those choices.

Home depot carries it.
*How about decorative rope work? I've got a book on knots and fancy rope work and there are a number of wraps and weaves that would look real good.
*Thanks for the info. I'll have to check my local HD.
