Looks nice. I like the tile pattern you worked out there.'Man who say it cannot be done should not interrupt man doing it' ~ Chinese proverb

Looks Good.Thanx for sharing. How did you post the pics 2 across in post .5 ?Chuck Slive, work, build, ...better with wood
How did you post the pics 2 across in post .5 ?
If you shift-click to open a pic in a new window, you can then resize that window to whatever size you want... then copy-paste it into your thread. In Jeff's case, he probably pasted two smaller pics in side by side.

Thanx,

I think you're seeing three pictures only, each one with the before and after added by Jeff with some photo editing software.

Was the old floor buckeling in front of the tub or is that an optical confusion?
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
buckling.
had planned on going down to the joists.
started demo ...
tile on luan ... over 12x12 stick on's ... on luan ...
over sheet goods on luan ...
over 1/2 ply ...
over 3/4 ply!
the buckling was everything above that very first layer of sheet goods.
smells awful.
held moisture and mold for 30 or so years.
bad side was it held the water and rotted out the walls ...
good side was it protected the original 3/4 subfloor.
I patched around the toilet ... another leak, one of the many ...
and overlayed the old 3/4 with new 3/4.
solid now.
every bit of plumbing in there leaked.
tub drain ... shower divertor ...
sink shut offs ... sink drain ... sink supplies ...
toilet supply ... toilet wax ring ..
even the tub drain leaked farther away in the basement.
and ... the toilet ran constantly.
we fixed the "missing paint spot" in the basement!
amazing what a coupla years worth of a little drip can do to paint ... and the concrete underneath it.
someone actually put a 2" wet vent line down into a 3" tee ...
with okam .... and it was all ABS.
called my plumber in ... he fixed it like I would have ...
but I wanted an educated eye to look over everything ...
that one scared me.
