I’ve been working on a few projects on my own house lately. Thought I’d share a couple. Put a full bath in a space that was originally storage and/or a maid’s quarters:
And re-created a dining room wall that was removed by the previous owners. This included quite a bit of millwork, as well as the construction of two doors. The doors still need molding around the panels to match the other doors in the house, as well as thresholds:

Nice work - but where's the maid live now?
We've got the suite, but no maid - working on DW for an exchange student from the college . . .

The most recent Census that shows a "domestic" living here is from 1875; the same year there is also a 19-year-old farm laborer and and 16-year-old servant listed.
Yesterday I gutted the "old" bathroom that was installed in 1948 (only an outhouse available until then). By the looks of the wallpaper beneath the 1940s drywall, that may have been someone's sleeping chamber as well (off the kitchen).
Good luck with your "domestic" quest.

Re: master bedroom. Yup.
Here's a closer look at the dining room. First is the new work (new wall, trim, door):

And what I was matching. This is the original door to the basement, and the original wainscot:
