Thanks to all who answered earlier
bath topic. A follow up question. Our 1940’s
era house seems to have drywall
everywhere but the bathroom. When we’ve
hung pictures in there we’ve had to
pre-drill holes as to not blow out what
seems to be a cement base under the
paint. Any suggestions for how I go
about cutting this stuff out to install
a bath

Masonry saw rental. Wear eye, air, and hearing protection.
If it is just plaster -- probably is -- a regular circular saw & carbide blade can do the job. But the blade will wear quickly, and don't use your favorite saw. Better yet, use a recip saw -- much less dust. Demo the remaining plaster with baby sledge & wrecking bar.
