the boring gray tile has got to go. I am wondering what I can put over it and what sort of prep I would have to do. The existing is very smooth ceramic and is in good shape except for a tiny bit of grout that has come loose. Thickness of underlayment and new surface can be up to 3/8″ without affecting trim or transitions to other rooms. Could we do a nice vinyl?? Thanks for any ideas and expertise. %^} Maggie
