Working on a bathroom remodel, upon lifting up some of the laminate notice there was a layer of waferboard and then about 3/8” layer of sheathing under that.
The 3/8 looks in good shape, plan was to pull up the waferboard and add 23/32 TG OsB subfloor over top the 3/8. I want to then ditra and install 3/8 12×24 ceramic tiles. 16” oc joists and the deflection shouldn’t be a problem according to calculator.
You think this would be okay?

Take out the 3/8 and block between joists at walls. Use 3/4 ply not osb (more water resistant) then ditra. I don't know what climate your in, but the ditra with heating is really nice on a cold winter morning.
Seems OK to me. The main thing is not to have flex.
