I am getting ready to remove a bathtub and cant remember how the drain disconnects from the plumbing.
The bathtub is circa 1974, so it should be pretty standard.
Is it threaded in? Thanks

The basket in the tub is connected to a piece that connects to the overflow pipe. That connection -- to the overflow -- is (most likely) a slip-joint fitting.
The overflow is then connected to the trap using slip joints as well.
