As I get into my bathroom remodeling I see that the bathtub is looking kind of tired. It is a solid cast iron one that would require the breaking up to remove it from the room, sooo… has anyone had any experience with the process of resurfacing a bathtub? Any hazards to look out for, any process to steer towards or away from. Thanks guys…greg.

I had alot of this done when I was an engineer for some hotels. The new enamel fails quickly in about 40% of the ones we had done. The rest seem to last forever. Sometimes the finish is rough, uncomfortable for bathing.
