Just a heads up. I (my business email) got an email purportedly from the BBB alleging a complaint by a named customer. Actually, one came the previous day with no attachment, so I researched it and found out it was bogus phishing scam. Another came with Word (.doc) attachment. DW opened the attachment and now all hell is breaking loose. From what I can tell it is supposed to target IE browsing, but I use Firefox. It is targeted to businesses, and sets up a trojan horse to collect data (bank acounts, CC numbers?) My bookmarks get wiped out everytime the machine is rebooted, God knows what else.
So, if you get a complaint email from the BBB, delete it without opening it.

So I checked the Norton Protection logs and data from my PC was being sent out (to servers 'jacked for the purpose of collecting stolen data). None of the virus protection programs I used caught what I think was a keystroke logger. The only reason it was discovered was the glitch in the browser - which caused me to investigate. I run Quickbooks and do some online banking so am assuming all that data was compromised. Ended up reformatting the hardrives and reinstalling. Now I have to change every password and contact my bank and CC company.
Lesson learned: be even more paranoid and don't let your wife open your email.
My live-in fiance gets his own e-mail account and his own computer, which is not networked with mine. He does not open my e-mail or use my computer.Seriously, though, sorry to hear about your experience. Hopefully you caught it and will get your accounts/passwords changed before any real damage was done, although you're right to assume your passwords and data are compromised.Rebeccah
