I need to know what the acceptable total reveal (tolerances) for beaded inset cabinet doors should be. I’ve been told the reveal should be anywhere from 2/32-inch (1/32-inch gap) to 1/4-inch (1/8-inch gap). If anyone knows of an article or trade journal that speaks to this topic, I would appreciate getting the reference.

3/32" in summer, all the way around, works good for SYP or poplar here in Western Washington, becomes 1/8" or 1/8" strong in winter. Just finished up about 1+1/2 years work spread over 2+1/2 years on just such a kitchen.
