I’ve always admired the photos people in b.t. share here. The likes
of Stan Foster, Pro-deck, Mike Smith, just to name a few. I really get a lot of
inspiration from the photo gallery. Now that I have access to a digital camera,
thought I’d share some of mine. They aren’t anything compared to
others on this forum, but its what I do. With that said here are some before and
after pictures. These are pictures of a laundry room I did in a apartment complex,
matter of fact that’s all I do.

Ain't nothing wrong with that.
Good work.
Gabe
thanks Gabe, coming from you that means a lot
Butch: Nice work. Do you travel a large area doing these installs..or can you stay busy locally?
Stan, thanks your work I really admire, and I love the pictures of the gyro.
I stay pretty busy in memphis, but do have to travel about 100 mile radius with
the company I work for. But I have company vehicle, and get paid for travel time
so its not to bad. I pretty much enjoy what I do as with any job its got its good
and bad.
Good looking set of appliances!
Like all true craftsmen, I see that you left a minor mistake or two to prove how humble you are and to tease us with finding it.
The third washer from the end is off level a little.
Right? Did I get it? Huh?
I knew it!
Seriously, glad to see fine work in any endeavour. The gem, excellence has many facets.
Excellence is its own reward!
Ah the great one , Piffmeister you let the secret out of the bag, lol, actually I didn't
install the washers, but did level ,helped w/venting and did gas work on the dryers.
I did the floor ,painting and little bit of carpentry but the mistakes are in the floor,
although the floor is so busy you really got to look to find em.

LOL, Ain't that a great way to use up all the odd lots of leftover tiles from other jobs! Nobody notices any mistakes that way. There's one that's the wrong colour. Now let's see, which one was that there.....
Excellence is its own reward!
OH yeah Now I see it..........the colors don't match :-)
Looks good to me butch, and thanks for posting the pictures...............
Be proud of that job...Man, it makes me want to go to the Laundry Mat.........

Color sequence
Who ever invented work didn't know how to fish....
That's it, although I don't know if its seen in the pictures I posted, the pattern is
using 5 colors then skip two then repeat. I went crazy trying not to make any
mistakes but I'm not perfect. Once you lay a piece into the glue you play heck trying
to get it loose. Also being under some time restraints didn't help any. That's why I
really admire what Stan does in his stairs because "if" there is a mistake I'm sure it
would broadcast "here I am"
Little photo tip -in the one where the windows are included in the shot the interior is pretty dark because the light sensor figured you wanted to be 1/2 way in between.
With most digi-cameras, when you have really high contrast lighting, point the camera toward the area you want to be properly exposed, press the shutter release 1/2 way to "set" the auto -exposure, and then, holding it 1/2 way down, turn the camera to include what you want
Also, now that you have the bug, consider a good image editing program - attached is the univcab01 photo with some gamma correction and contrast adjustment - its amazing how much info can be hiding in the shadows in those pics!
(I also reduced the size 50%)

Your mileage may vary ....
Thanks for the tips, as a matter of fact I just learned about pressing the trigger half
way then pressing the other half to help also in focsing, put didn't know that you
could do that with exposure.
Damn nice work Butch! I`ve avoided doing much "commercial" renovation as most folks I`ve come in contact with want it done fast and cheap....quality has never been a priority. I can see that it is with you. Keep up the great work!

"DO IT RIGHT, DO IT ONCE"
Thanks jay,I've been with this company almost 15 yrs and I've kind of been able to
develop some quality (=time) into the job, and I think that everybody appreciates
the results. I wished that I'd been able to take pictures of the after "plumbing"
This plumber we use does the most awesome work, probably one of the best, and
that's where a lot of my inspiration comes from. I mean what he does looks so
"pretty" and yet he knows its going to get covered up and yet still makes it
lookgood
So now when ever I do any work I try to make it look like I cared when it was done.
Here are some pictures of some gas work I did recently.
the floor looks like linoleum tiles????
we've used them at home and they look really good.
i like the mixture of all those colours.

They are actaully 1/8" armstrong v.c.t. 12"x12"
sorry to appear dense.
whats vct?

I don't believe there is such a thing as a stupid question , Vinyl Composition Tile
Considering where some have wanted to vent their dryers and range hoods..... LOL
