Here’s a kitchen remodel just finished. I finally found the perfect clients. The owner and I have the same names only he spells his last name wrong. The before is a composit photo, that’s why some things are bent.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

How elegant. And I LOVE how the cabinets go all the way up to the ceiling (a pet peeve). A question tho, what was on the floor in the before picture? It's colorful enough to make it a sweater pattern.
Unfortunately, Stupendous Man's cape is caught in mild-mannered Calvin's zipper! Curses! Calvin
That floor is THE most popular vinyl floor pattern ever produced!
Just a bit of trivia.
My parents have it.
It looks like little tiny pavers and mortar.Mr T

GO ORANGEMEN!!!
Bingo! your exactly right they musty have sold enough of that stuff to cover the moon twice over.
Thanks
The floor was an old linoleum pattern from the 60's. We tore it up and put down a pergo type floor.
A sweater made of that stuff while a little stiff would be great in the rain.
What's the countertop material?
From demolition to punch-list, how long did it take? How many tradespeople?
Scope of work:
Demo.
New electrical.
New plumbing.
New wood floors.
New cabinets and countertops
Paint and paper.
New appliances.
Anything else?
Very nice work. Being proud feels so good!

The top is I think Avanza, a man made granite like product. the client went through Home Depot for the product. The care is supposed to be easier than granite.
There was so much more to this job than the kitchen, like all new raised panel doors, base and fancy trim. I even made false mullions for the windows so they looked craftsmany,(technical term ya know).
I'd say the kitchen demo took two days. It took me three days to rebuild the additional cabinets another day to reface as needed. Then two days to build the doors, drawers and installing new drawer glides.
Start to finish on the kitchen including electrical and painter it took about two weeks.
I was the only craftsman other than one plumber, electrician and one painter. There was only a small punch list that took less than two hours to complete.
Like I said this job and these clients were perfect.
As to cost well let me say before all was done, over a six week period they spent a little over $20,000.
Is that Granite? If it is, I wonder why they didn't choose an undermount sink and have a draining area cut into the granite. Still, no accounting for clients' tastes. What kind of hinges did you use on the doors?
John
No the counter is man made to look like granite and I agree on the sink issue. That's just what they wanted.
The hinges are just a blum 33 face frame hinge with a 1/4" set back mount. the drawer's are full extension accurides on the larger and a bottom mount epoxy coated full extension glide on the rest.
Really nice work! Congratulations on a job well done.
