I have conflicking information from multple sources.
I will be doing a vinyl siding project (first one) the customer wants house wrap and fanfold insulation. should the insulation be installed before the house wrap or vice versa.
I say insulation first and then house wrap, others say just the opposite, I’m going to call the siding manufacture to get their opinion.
Any thought or opinions are greatly appreciated.

How thick is the "fanfold",
How thick is the "fanfold", and why are you installing it? Understand that the usual purpose of "fanfold" is to provide a flat surface over existing lap siding -- it's insulation qualities are virtually nil.
If you don't have existing lap siding you'll be siding over then the fanfold is probably a waste of time/money.
Condensation
Given the minimal R value, I would be concerned about migrating interior moisture condensing on the foam. Hello rot.
Fanfold is installed becuase the walls aren't flat enough for the vinyl. As insulation it's a waste of time. As far as house wrap I'd want to know if the wall already has a layer of house wrap. What kind of sheathing is on the house now?
