I was cutting oak ahandrail on my Makita 10 slide compound and the piece got a way from me(about 10″) it jammed up againt the arm of the saw and bent the blade, Installed a new blade but definitly has a very slight wobble. Has any one ever bent an arbor on a slide compound saw? and is it worth it to get it fixed ? I dont want to dump a bunch of money into a saw that may never be the same/true again ps saw is about 4 yrs old. Thanks for the help .

Toss it, get a bosch
Before you toss the saw try putting the second blade in a tablesaw. If the blade wobbles ,then it probably is not the slidesaw, but the new blade. I did this on a dewalt double bevel slidesaw with the 5/8" arbor. The blade was brand new, just changed it from a trim blade to a framing blade. I returned the blade ,new blade was fine. The table saw showed even more wobble than the mitersaw.

Also check the bolt to see if it's bent, and make sure the washers are all seated right. Sometimes in your hurry to "recover" from a problem like this you overlook the easy stuff.

Thanks for the advice talked to my tool guru and he said try changing out the stabilizer's perhaps they got tweaked.
Fear not, if it is the arbor, it'll self destruct and confirm your analysis. You should have lunched the bearing just behind the lock nut, if that is indeed a point to ponder. One can't persuade an arbor to get unconcentric, with out eating the bearing closest to it's leverage point.
I think ya got a bum blade or like said, your blade may not be seated correctly.
And to all the Bosch fans, I'll add...my 12" has enough slop, with any blade, that I'd be using a rad arm saw for precision, now thats bad.
