Best 10″ tiles saw blade(s) for porcelain & “colored” slate?
I’m about to purchase a DW 24000 10″ 5/8 arbor tile saw (after reading lots of good reviews) to do several tile projects on my current remodel. One project in particular is an outdoor shower next to a pool that will incorporate: “colored” 1/4″ thick slate, & 6″ porcelain tile and trim pieces. Work-In-Process plan is shown below for general reference.
While I have done some tile work previously, I’m not that familiar with all the current details regarding current blades. I realize that asking a large group what tile saw blades are best might be similar to asking which brand of car do you like most, but given that all cuts are planned to be straight at 90, 45, & 22.5 degrees and that only the porcelain tiles are planned to be cut, I’m hoping it might come down to a few good choices other than the DW4763 blade that comes with the saw.
So far, the reviews I’ve read indicate that the: DW4764, QEP 6-1008BW, RTC T3 Razor Gold all might good choices for porcelain but I’ve not used any of them.
Even though the plan does not now call for cutting the slate, I’d also like to get a slate blade just in case a change in plans is introduced.
Thanks for any help !

Any quality wet diamond blade should do just fine. I'd caution against segmented blades though. I often work with my fingers very close to the blade. A smooth rim blade won't hurt you. A segmented blade can do serious damage.
Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to lose hope that a response would be forthcoming.
Do blades like the http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DW4764-10-Inch-060-Inch-Premium/dp/B002JAQCBK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1378903682&sr=8-3&keywords=10%22+tile+saw+blades qualify as segmented or just the ones with larger gaps?
I don't think that blade would catch a finger. I don't ever plan to run my hand into the blade, but quite often I touch the side of it very close to the edge. With a segmented blade you have to behave as if you're cutting wood.
Got it, thanks!

premium blade...
I highly recommend a Felker TM-7 blade. It's the best I've ever used for percelain.
Blades are made to different standards the material they will cut, and some work better than others on different saws with regards to the saw's HP rating.
The TM-7 is a great blade on a 1.5HP saw. You'll see it branded as "Felker" or "Husqvarna". Same exact blade, but you might score different pricing when comparing the "brand".
