JD Powers just released a CUSTOMER SATISFACTION on faucetts.
“Faucets
Moen ranks highest in satisfying customers with their new faucets, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Faucets Customer Satisfaction Study(SM). Customer satisfaction with faucets is measured based on performance in four factors (in order of importance): performance, features, warranty and price competitiveness.
Moen ranks highest, earning a customer satisfaction index score of 801, and receives particularly high ratings in performance and warranty. Kohler follows in the rankings with a score of 796, performing well in features.
“Customers demand a high level of performance from their faucets and also place high importance on the features of the models they choose,” said Howland. “However, customers also pay close attention to the warranty of their new faucet, which is an area for improvement for the industry overall.”
The study finds that customers pay an average of $93 for a new faucet, and that 80 percent of respondents install the faucet themselves or with the help of family and friends.
The study is based on responses from 4,868 consumers who purchased and installed a faucet in the previous 12 months.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.

I regard any J.D. Power survey with a great amount of skeptism. They don't seem to lie, but statisics can be manipulated to say things that aren't really so.
I wonder what they will say if Delta hires them next week.
But I gotta say Moens are ok in my book. Too bad J.D. Powers "blessed them" now I am a little worried.
And look where Price Pfister ended up!
My wifes ex- understood quality only in terms of what was most expensive. He bought Grohe faucets. Maybe they'd have been okay if he had installed them correctly, but something is weird with the handle that controls the hot water on the shower--it "sticks" after about an eighth of a turn and if you back off and take a running start once or twice, you can make it through and then it's smooth the rest of the way. Worst in the morning (apparently loosens up after somone else takes the first shower!).

But I'll bet you think of him fondly every time you take your morning shower?!!!!!!!
He mucked up a lot of stuff in this house--like putting radiant heat in either too far from the walls or with the fins oriented the wrong way, so the metal cabinets don't fit around them, glueing and nailing (with 12d Ardox nails) quarter round trim on windows without bothering to miter the corners, etc.. Oh, in bathroom, he put a finned tube radiator without any cover in the toe kick space of the lav, so when you use the lav you run your feet up against the fins! (I have since covered them.)
I noticed the placing of Price-Pfister, too. Remember, it is a satisfaction survey, not a measure of objective quality. Maybe people who buy PP have really low expectations.Bill
good point.
I used to prefer Farah, but that's gone downhill like everything else.
I had an uncle by the last name of faucett.
